  has your language changed since you left?

  i know mine has.

  i went back to my flat earlier this afternoon to pick some things up, i am moving out of there slowly, and was carrying a heavy box out to my car when i stumbled and dropped it on my foot.

  it wasn't too painful, thankfully, but i came out with a stream of expletives, most of them beginning with f. when i was a jw, even thinking those words would have filled me with shame.

  Yeah my language has changed but not because of leaving the cult. I used to have a vulgar mouth but then I had children. They're like little tape recorders and the F-bomb doesn't sount to good coming out of their mouths'. Im still working on it though and occasionally I slip but for the most part I've certainly cleaned up my act.

  does anybody here watch this?

  i missed the first season, i saw the movie sky one showed before the second season started, and now i'm hooked.

  i bought the dvd's, both mini-series/movie and season one from amazon while they were on sale.

  And not knowing you can't trust everyone?

  This is something that I struggle with. I choose to belive that humand in general are good and can be trusted. It seems though that I am reminded almost on a daily basis that the only one you can trust is yourself. I wish that I could think otherwise, but I cant.

  Dan the man you’re upsetting me with your pessimism of this year’s super bowl.

  My favorite commercial was the gut in the office working with monkeys that hat the chart upside down. The one monkey was lighting a cigar with burning money. I can relate to this situation first hand. That commercial is priceless.

  THE GOVERMENT AND SHUNNING.....

  after reading the tragedy of puternut, i was thinking that perhaps it's time that the government took another look at what can happen when they allow religions like the jws, to cut off family members without a second thought.

  surely someone's rights to have normal religions with their family should come before freedom of religion.

  isn't it ironic that the gb fought so hard in court to obtain freedom of religion, yet their own members commit suicide when they try to express this very right.

  I was thinking that perhaps it's time that the government took another look at what can happen when they allow religions like the JWs, to cut off family members without a second thought.

  Just how much control do you want your government to have? A family's religious freedom is just that. If they choose to shun their own and create divisions amongst themselves, than so be it. You cannot leglislate morility or family values. Once you begin to try you overstep the boundaries of a democratic society.

  I personally feel that my government has already taken too many liberties with it's power and my personal freedom. I certainly would not vote for them to have any more power over what or how my family chooses to operate.
